Covid-19: Cheshire East council report Covid-19 infection rates in the area are increasing,
The Council’s advice is if you feel unwell and are able to, please work from home, postpone any
social events you had planned and don’t send your child to school if they feel unwell. Good hand
hygiene is an effective way of preventing the spread of a virus, so remember to wash your hands
regularly and use hand sanitiser. Good ventilation is important, open windows regularly when
indoors, consider wearing a mask in crowded indoor spaces & keep your distance from others.
in line with other local relaxations and advice from CBCEW and the Diocese of Shrewsbury:
- Parishioners should retain whatever preventative measures they feel they need for their safety.
- Face coverings will no longer be required during the Masses and services at St Paul’s, and will not be required during distribution of Holy Communion.
- Distribution of Holy Communion will be the host only. Offering and sharing the chalice is thought to be unsafe.
- The sign of peace will continue to be an acknowledgement by a bow or hand wave.
Both hand sanitisers and facemasks will be available in church, and good ventilation will continue by keeping open the church’s windows and doors.
