Special Notices: 

  • Epiphany: under normal circumstances this is a Holyday of Obligation. Father Peter will be here at St. Paul’s for an evening Mass which will be held on Thursday 6th January at 7.30pm. Please do come along and join him.

St Paul’s Church – Mass and prayers

Please note that hand sanitising when entering and leaving church is still required, as well as after you have received communion. Please also note that face coverings are still a mandatory requirement (as directed by the Diocese) unless you are in the exempt category.

When you arrive at church you will either need to check in using one of the displayed QR codes using your smartphone, or sign in yourself on the clipboard that is located in the porch.

Sunday Mass, 10am:

  • In-person Masses continue with reduced numbers in the congregation.
  • Church opens at 9:45am for Mass at 10am.
  • To join us the Mass virtually please go online to: Streamed Mass.

Wednesday Mass, 9:30am:

  • Morning Prayers at are 9.15am and Mass is at 9.30am. Both are available for in-person attendance and streaming using Facebook Live -> Facebook Live or in the Facebook App search for “Mass at St Paul’s RC Church” 
  • To join us the Mass virtually please go online to: Streamed Mass.

Sacrament of Reconciliation: anyone wishing to receive the sacrament will need to telephone either Fr Peter or Fr Paschal directly at St. Alban’s Parish Office on 01625 423 446 to book an appointment. The sacrament will be held outside, in a private place and physically distanced for safety reasons.

Mass intentions: Please contact the St Paul’s parish office with any queries or requests for Mass intentions. Have a lovely weekend and stay safe!

Parish donations

Planned Giving Offertory Envelopes: are now in the porch of the Church and can be collected ONLY when the Church is open on a Sunday morning. Please collect them if you can.

Caritas Christmas Appeal, Diocese of Shrewsbury: As you can appreciate the last year has been very challenging and all and our donations have been greatly reduced. We have managed to work throughout the pandemic and support children, families and communities in the Diocese. Visit the Caritas website -> https://www.caritasshrewsbury.org.uk/ to read the Impact Report -> Impact Report 2020-2021. Caritas are looking to increase our donations and one of the ways is by giving the opportunity to you to support our work by donating online. This is an approach that Bishop Mark is keen we develop. See poster in the porch and should you wish to donate all you need to do is scan the QR Code and donate.

Parish newsletter: If you know of anyone who would like a copy of the newsletter via email please ask them to register their details on the parish database. This can be done by using the online registration form -> Parish database

  • If you have an up to date smartphone such as an iPhone, Samsung, Sony etc please use the new NHS COVID-19 app to protect you; this includes contact tracing, local area alerts and venue check-in. Details are online > NHS Covid-19 details.

Queries: If you have any urgent queries, please contact the parish office by email or telephone. At this time the office is working reduced hours from home focusing on calls, emails and the weekly newsletter – the parish office team hope you are finding the newsletters informative and interesting.
