St Paul’s – Parish update

St. Paul’s Parish Newsletter: -> 18th Sun Ord Time (Cyc B) – 1st Aug 2021 version 2

Sunday Mass: in-person Masses continue with reduced numbers in the congregation . Please use our seat booking system -> Booking details

Wednesday Word: Wednesday Word is updated each week as a useful sheet for families to read through.

Weekday Mass Sheet, to help you if you are joining in with the daily masses streamed from St Alban’s and St Paul’s. However, due to current COVID-19 situation, the Weekday Mass Sheets have been suspended until further notice.

Covid-19 changes for “Step 4” from 19th July: As the enforced restrictions have been significantly reduced, the parish is reviewing the guidance from the UK government, the proposals from Catholic Bishops, and the prevailing local conditions. What is clear, though, is that we want to welcome back all parishioners in a way that everyone can feel safe and comfortable in church. To do this, we need to continue a cautious approach. We have rotas and volunteers in place within our existing approach until end of August.  So we propose to continue in the same way until then.  This gives the parish time to consider and plan how to move forwards as a parish community from September, with a view to encouraging everyone back.

St Paul’s Church – Mass and prayers

Wednesday Mass at 9:30am: broadcast using Facebook Live. This starts at 9:15am with prayers, followed by Mass at 9:30am -> Facebook Live or in the Facebook App search for “Mass at St Paul’s RC Church”.

Sacrament of Reconciliation: anyone wishing to receive the sacrament will need to telephone either Fr Peter or Fr Paschal directly at St. Alban’s Parish Office on 01625 423 446 to book an appointment. The sacrament will be held outside, in a private place and physically distanced for safety reasons.
