St Paul’s parish update 

  • St. Paul’s Parish Newsletter -> Palm Sunday (Cyc B) – 28th Mar 2021. This includes our Programme of Tuesday evening events that are each week in Lent.
  • Sunday Mass: in-person Masses have recommenced. Please use our seat booking system -> Booking details
  • Wednesday Word for the coming week -> Wednesday Word. Wednesday Word is updated each week as a useful sheet for families to read through.
  • Weekday Mass Sheet, to help you if you are joining in with the daily masses streamed from St Alban’s and St Paul’s. However, due to current COVID-19 situation, the Weekday Mass Sheets have been suspended until further notice.
  • Lent and Holy Week 2021: following the parish Liturgy Group meeting on 20th Feb we have update this page with a Covid-19 aware schedule of planned activities -> Lent, Holy Week and Easter 2021.
  • Lent Penitential / Forgiveness Mass, Tues 30th March, 7.30pm: you can join us via online Zoom. Please have a cross and candle to hand (if possible); Father Peter will invite parishioners to light their candles in unison. You may find this Examination of Conscience document useful during this Mass or for private reflection -> Examination of Conscience.

Mass and prayers from St Paul’s Church

  • Wednesday Mass at 9:30am: broadcast using Facebook Live. This starts at 9:15am with prayers, followed by Mass at 9:30am -> Facebook Live or in the Facebook App search for “Mass at St Paul’s RC Church”.
  • Sunday Mass at 10am: As the level of Covid-19 infections has dropped St Paul’s church and St. Alban’s church have reopened for Sunday Masses bookings. 
  • Sacrament of Reconciliation: anyone wishing to receive the sacrament will need to telephone either Fr Peter or Fr Paschal directly at St. Alban’s Parish Office on 01625 423 446 to book an appointment. The sacrament will be held outside, in a private place and physically distanced for safety reasons.
  • Mass intentions: Please contact the St Paul’s parish office with any queries or requests for Mass intentions. Have a lovely weekend and stay safe!
  • World Down’s Syndrome Day.  This Sunday. Please take five minutes to read the article in this week’s newsletter and join in by wearing your loudest, brightest socks.
  • Planned Giving Offertory Envelopes: are now in the porch of the Church and can be collected ONLY when the Church is open on a Sunday morning.  Please collect them if you can.
  • Gift Aid Donors: The tax year 2020/21 will be coming to an end on 5th April and the Parish will then undertake the process of claiming back the Gift Aid refunds on donations made in the tax year. If your circumstances have changed and you no longer pay income tax (or if for any other reason you do not wish to remain in the Gift Aid Scheme) please contact, Peter Doyle (01625 876577), by 5th April.
