St Paul’s parish update

  • St. Paul’s Parish Newsletter -> 31st Sun Ord Time – 1st Nov 2020 (cyc A)
  • Wednesday Word for the coming week -> Wednesday Word Wednesday Word is updated each week as a useful sheet for families to read through.
  • Weekday Mass Sheet, to help you if you are joining in with the daily masses streamed from St Alban’s and St Paul’s. However, due to current COVID-19 situation, the Weekday Mass Sheets have been suspended until further notice.
  • Clergy Education and Training Fund: Next weekend the annual Collection for the Clergy Education & Training Fund will take place. On the training and formation of Priests, the future of our Diocese so much depends.   • November Souls Service: The Service this year will be held on Thursday, 24th November, 2020, at 7pm. Due to the Covid 19 situation, this will be a Virtual Service. Any names you wish to be added into the Book of Remembrance, please contact Alma Haughian by Saturday, 31st October at the latest. Alma will collate all the names into the Book of Remembrance.

Summary details -> Poynton Post

  • Wednesday Mass at 9:30am: broadcast using Facebook Live. This starts at 9:15am with prayers, followed by Mass at 9:30am -> Facebook Live or in the Facebook App search for “Mass at St Paul’s RC Church”.
  • Sunday Mass at 10am:
    • The UK Government regulations have changed and the church will not be open for attendance at the 10am Mass on Sunday until further notice. The Mass will be held and can be viewed -> Facebook Live 
    • Please see the weekend’s parish newsletter for more details.
    • If UK Government regulations permit we hope to recommence bookings on 2nd December for the congregation at the Mass on 6th December
    • To join us in church on 6th December you must book during the previous week, see for more details -> Booking a seat and other arrangements; if you have booked a seat in church please remember to arrive no earlier than 10:45pm, bring and wear a face covering, and see the Stewards at the front door before entering the church. 
    • Please wrap up warmly – the church windows and doors are ajar to satisfy our risk assessment in order to be allowed to remain open. So please layer up if you’re attending!
    • You can also plan to join us on -> Facebook Live
  • If you have an up to date smartphone such as an iPhone, Samsung, Sony etc please use the new NHS COVID-19 app to protect you; this includes contact tracing, local area alerts and venue check-in. Details are online > NHS Covid-19 details. St. Paul’s Church is displaying Posters with the “QR code” should you wish to ‘check in’ when you join us in Church. The parish office will continue to retain copies of church attendance registers for 21 days for any needed tracing purposes.
  • Volunteer help needed: Thank you for your messages of support expressing how much you’ve enjoyed sharing our Masses and thanks to the volunteers who are enabling us to open. WE DO NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS (under 70), could you help? If so, contact the parish office or email.
